by Betsy Youngquist

2x1.75 inches

This pendant was made using a sterling silver bezel as a frame for a micro mosaic design. Playful material exploration lead to the simplicity of old metal buttons from Afghanistan being used as focal points. Their placement caused a natural bridge between the darkness of tiny black beads and the sparkle of Swarovski crystals. This piece is unisex.

The chain is made of stainless steel with a sterling silver clasp. (just FTI stainless chains are $35 less than sterling silver and sterling silver is more expensive for longer chinas while stainless is the same.)

Materials:

-Vintage glass beads from Italy (1800's)

-Old metal buttons from Afghanistan

-Hand formed sterling silver bezel

-Vintage glass doll eye

-Glass contemporary beads
